Background
The VA's Employee Education System (EES) provides training, employee development programs, and information dissemination programs to VA medical providers and employees nationwide as well as affiliated target audiences in other federal agencies. The demand for online learning solutions has quickly expanded beyond the VA EES' capabilities to meet its customer's needs.
Solution
To meet the expanding demands for online learning solutions, the VA EES turned to Coley for its SCORM and Section 508 compliant eLearning solutions. Coley currently supports EES with Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) development services for web-based solutions that range from low-end interactivity to highly interactive electronic instructional multimedia sites. These websites range from curriculum/course websites, EES virtual conferences and virtual training platform websites, and/or EES content management websites that are SCORM and VHA Section 508 compliant.
In addition to creating custom web-based solutions, Coley has also successfully converted hundreds of hours of legacy courses to conform to VHA Section 508 and SCORM 4.0 or SCORM 1.2 standards as part of the VA's process of implementing the new Talent Management System (TMS).
