Government Agencies can now set-aside GSA Schedule orders for SDVOSBs. The new rule greatly simplifies the acquisition process
Interim rule for FAR Case 2011-024, effective Nov. 2, 2011, provides agencies with the ability to set aside orders and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) issued under Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) program to Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
Before this rule, agencies were prohibited from setting aside orders and BPAs under the MAS program.
Unlike 8(a), Women-owned small businesses (WOSB) or Economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSB) that have certain order limitations; Set-Aside orders for SDVOSBs have no limitations.
